About us
Lindean Mill Glass is the partnership of Annica Sandström and David Kaplan, who met in the Glass Kingdom of Sweden. The Scandinavian training and workshop experience is reflected in the glassmaking and has greatly influenced their practice.
Contemporary-designed tableware and collections of vessels, plates and fused panels are all part of their glassmaking. References to the landscape and the natural world can be seen in the work and glass panels that evoke a sense of place and memory.
Helen Douglas, artist writes;
These panels like a Lindean bowl or cylinder can set the tone of a room: in artistic achievement each is like a poem drawing all around to it. Complex in planning and making the panels appear effortless. Decisively, monumentally turned horizontal, and with much arrangement these sheets of colour veils create landscape, weather and atmospheric depth. (catalogue Lindean Mill Glass 40).
